Arun Pandit was born in Bihar in 1973. He is a graduate from College of Art & Crafts, Patna and also holds a degree in MFA from the Delhi College of Arts. In 1993, he was given the task of building Ashoka Pillar in Bihar. He used bronze to complete this structure. Since then, he has been using bronze in his sculptures.
The artist has been part of both solo and group shows across the globe. In 2015, his phenomenal work titled Garuda was unveiled by the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi at the Tirupati airport. The critics applauded his efforts in 2016 when he showcased his work in a solo show named, ‘Power and Pathos’ at the Lalit Kala Academy.
Arun Pandit has won many scholarships and awards like the Scholarship Award from AIFACS and the Lalit Kala Academy Award.
