Sisir Sahana was born in West Bengal in 1963. He has a master’s degree in painting from Kala Bhavan, Santiniketan. He also has an advanced diploma in Stained Glass from Central St. Martin’s College of Art & Design, London.

Sahana has participated in various solo and group exhibitions in India and abroad. His glass sculptures adorn the public spaces in Kolata and Birbhum, West Bengal.

In 2000, he won the AIFACS regional award. Next year, he won the AIFACS national award.
