With his own ideas of colour, sensitivity, and forms, Shabir Hussain Santosh transforms the everyday into a harmonious stillness to create his own mythic oasis. His works are endowed with a fabular presence, born of mythic moorings accumulated in the edifice of his love for Egyptian, Greek, and Indian mythology.
In the delicate balance between creativity, mysticism, and everyday imagery, Shabir weaves in his own ingenuity to create a vortex where the artist’s collection of the unbelievable moorings of fantasy and reality all come to life.
At its core, this exhibition can be distilled into a formula of interdependencies in which experiential fluctuations seem to collect and correlate like the animation of a film, which in turn modulates the soundtrack that plays back and forth. This scenic landscape then influences the multiple voices that ultimately guide the movement of the everyday intensities of the past the present and the future. Yet, the artist remains in the pattern of paradoxes created within the framework of memories pressed between the pages of his mind, sweetened through the ages just like wine.
